HEY, TRAVELER!
CAMP CERRITOS FAQS
-
You can use Google Maps, but DO NOT use the Salsipuedes road (main beach road) to access the property if you are towing a trailer or in a large motorhome. The road is a little rough and includes a steep hill that may be problematic for some RVs.
You are strongly encouraged to turn off Highway 19 on the road directly across from Paleta's Restaurant Bar & Grill and then make your first right onto our frontage road. Taking the Paleta road will also make backing into your site much easier.

Reservations less than 30 days can be made up to 90 days in advance. Long-term stays should be booked at least three months in advance. Those looking to camp between January - March should make reservations as early as possible.
-
Campers with more than 4 people in their group will be charged an additional fee of $5 per person/per night up to a maximum of 6 guests per site.

Yes. We love dogs! We have one of our own who you will frequently see around camp. Her name is Frankie, and she just might bring you a stick to play fetch!
That being said, we do not allow more than 2 dogs per site. Pet owners are expected to clean up after their pets and should be mindful that the property is not fully enclosed. Off-leash dogs may wander off or encounter other dogs.

Totally! All of our sites are large enough to fit 2-3 camper vans or small truck campers. A fee of $20 per night/per additional camping vehicle will be assessed in addition to the normal nightly rate. Max 6 guests per site.
If you would like to make a reservation for more than one camping vehicle, please contact us directly before making a reservation online.

Children are welcome, but we do not have any special amenities for them. The campground is home to many native plants and cacti that have spines and other prickly bits, so just make sure your little ones know to stay away from them.
-
Yes! All of our water is sourced from a local well and treated through a three-stage Clearsource filtration system.

Camp Cerritos is located less than a mile from Cerritos Beach. It usually takes us 5 minutes to get there by car. Longer if you stop for snacks and beers on the way! :)

No, but there are local options in Cerritos and nearby El Pescadero. We recommend supporting the local economy by utilizing one of the local lavanderias.
